Who we are
Dan (right) - Born in Zambia, Africa to Filipino parents, currently residing in Brisbane. Dan studied IT at university and uses these skills while learning many more to create and experiment with jewellery.
Matt (left) - Born and raised in Brisbane. Matt studied Engineering at university and uses CAD as part his creative process to explore various styles and designs.
Through our shared love of jewellery, we decided to pursue creating our own-MAMSIR. Our namesake is an homage to Dan's Filipino heritage and to reflect and celebrate that our jewellery is genderless and for anyone.
What we're about
We draw a lot of inspiration from nature, nostalgia, to pop and queer culture. Doing this allows us to explore various styles that we enjoy to create bold and unique jewellery that anyone could wear.
We want people to feel confident in our jewellery and to have fun with how they choose to express themselves.
Our process and products
All of our designs are created in-house using hand carved wax techniques or via CAD software.
Piece we design are cast in either solid sterling silver or gold. For casting, we use Palloys and Morris & Watson who are committed to ethical and sustainable practices.
We use lab-grown and natural gemstones sourced through either local small businesses or online auction.
To reduce our impact on the environment, we avoid using plastics in our packaging, limit the amount of packaging we create, and opt for eco-friendly packaging materials.
